Philadelphia, PA – Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-95 NB at Exit 30
Philadelphia, PA (August 9, 2025) – Several people sustained injuries on the afternoon of August 9 following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 northbound, 1.9 miles south of Exit 30 for Cottman Avenue and Rhawn Street. Philadelphia Police and Pennsylvania State Police both responded to the scene. Authorities reported that multiple vehicles collided in the middle lanes. Medics provided on-site evaluations to the injured, with at least two people transported to nearby hospitals for additional care.
None of the injuries was believed to be life-threatening. The collision blocked several lanes for over an hour as crews cleared debris and towed away the disabled vehicles. Traffic backups stretched for several miles, and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes until the roadway fully reopened. Pennsylvania State Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
