Palm Coast, FL – One Killed After Being Struck by Two SUVs on I-95
Palm Coast, FL (August 8, 2025) – A deadly crash in the early morning hours of August 8 claimed the life of a 20-year-old New York City man along northbound Interstate 95 in Flagler County. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m., just south of Palm Coast Parkway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Investigators say the man had been standing on the outside shoulder of the interstate facing west before unexpectedly stepping into the northbound lanes for reasons that remain unclear. He was struck in quick succession by two SUVs traveling at highway speeds. Both drivers immediately stopped and remained on the scene, cooperating with law enforcement.
Flagler County Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the man deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the incident. Troopers closed a section of I-95 for several hours to allow for a full investigation, which included interviewing witnesses and reviewing any available traffic camera footage. Authorities have not released the victim’s name pending notification of his family.
