Chatham Co., GA – Motorcyclist Airlifted After Serious Crash on I-95/Hwy. 204
Chatham County, GA (October 23, 2025) – A serious crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle led to an airlift operation on I-95 near the Highway 204 exit by Quacco Road on Thursday afternoon. The Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) confirmed that the accident occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m., prompting the temporary closure of both northbound and southbound lanes to allow a medical helicopter to land safely.
Responding officers found the motorcyclist with severe injuries, and after receiving on-site stabilization, the patient was airlifted to a nearby trauma center for advanced medical care. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Pooler Police Department assisted in managing traffic and confirmed that all lanes reopened later in the afternoon after emergency crews cleared the wreckage. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the CCPD’s Traffic Division.
