Chatham County, GA – Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash on I-95 Near Hwy 204

Chatham County, GA (October 24, 2025) – A serious crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle shut down both directions of Interstate 95 near the Hwy 204 exit in Chatham County on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Chatham County Police Department, the accident occurred around 2:35 p.m. near Quacco Rd. Emergency crews responded quickly, and a medical helicopter was called to airlift an injured motorcyclist from the scene. The extent of the victim’s injuries has not yet been disclosed.

All lanes in both directions were temporarily closed to allow the helicopter to land safely. By 4:00 p.m., the Pooler Police Department reported that northbound and southbound lanes had reopened, though traffic delays remained heavy in the area.

Authorities have not released details about what caused the collision, and the investigation is ongoing.
