Westbrook, ME (September 6, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred Friday morning, September 5, on Interstate 95 South near Exit 64, involving a tractor-trailer.

The accident, which took place around 7:42 a.m., caused the load of plywood the truck was hauling to spill across both sides of the highway. One of the individuals involved, Nicholas Kupec, a 39-year-old man from Waterford, was severely injured and later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Three other people were also injured in the crash and were transported to a nearby hospital.
