Old Lyme, CT – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 S Leaves Reported Injuries

Old Lyme, CT (December 17, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 95 southbound resulted in reported injuries on Wednesday afternoon, December 17. Connecticut State Police confirmed the crash occurred between Exits 70 and 69 during peak travel hours. Several vehicles collided under unclear circumstances, forcing authorities to shut down the two left travel lanes.

Troopers arrived to find damaged vehicles blocking traffic and motorists requiring medical attention. At least one injured individual was assessed at the scene for pain-related injuries.
