Florence Co., SC – Driver Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-95/MM 152

Florence County, SC (July 25, 2025) – A tragic hit-and-run collision claimed one life and left another injured in the early morning hours of July 25 along Interstate 95 in Florence County. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper David Jones, the crash occurred at approximately 4:20 a.m. near mile marker 152. The impact of the crash was severe. The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. A passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition has not yet been disclosed.

The driver of the Chrysler fled the scene on foot before troopers arrived. Although the vehicle was left behind, the identity of the fleeing individual has not been released. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident and is urging anyone with information to contact them immediately.
