Branford, CT – Two-Vehicle Collision on I-95 SB/Exit 55 Leads to Injuries
Branford, CT (October 15, 2025) – A crash involving two vehicles occurred on I-95 on Wednesday afternoon, October 15, and left at least one person injured. State police were dispatched around 3:16 p.m. to the southbound lanes near Exit 55 after reports of a collision with injuries.
When the troopers arrived, they found both vehicles partially blocking the roadway, and traffic was slowing in both directions. Drivers and passengers were assessed on-site, and those with injuries received medical attention. No life-threatening conditions have been reported at this time.
Traffic on I-95 northbound became congested as crews diverted drivers around the scene and worked to remove damaged vehicles. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or specified how many occupants were inside each car. The cause of the crash is still being examined by Connecticut State Police investigators. By late afternoon, the vehicles had been cleared, though delays persisted as normal flow resumed.
We hope those affected recover quickly and return to their routines without lasting harm.
