Woodbridge, VA – Fatal Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-95 near mm 156 Claims Life

Woodbridge, VA (November 19, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, November 19th, in Woodbridge, a tragic incident occurred on I-95 near the 156-mile marker. A collision occurred between a FedEx tractor-trailer and a sedan, resulting in the loss of life for the yet-to-be-identified male driver of the tractor-trailer. At the scene, the driver of the sedan fled on foot while receiving treatment from EMS, prompting a search by Virginia State Police to locate the individual. Currently, the identities of both drivers remain undisclosed. The aftermath of the incident caused significant disruptions to southbound traffic on I-95. Initially, only one lane was open through the morning and early afternoon. The Crash Reconstruction Team from the Fairfax Division is actively involved in the investigation.
