Warwick, RI – Five Injured After Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-95 N/Rte. 4

Warwick, RI (October 21, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer left five people injured on Tuesday, October 21, on Interstate 95 northbound near Route 4. Rhode Island State Police reported that two vehicles initially collided near Exit 24A, prompting two others to slow down to avoid the wreck. A tractor-trailer hauling gravel then attempted to swerve but struck one of the cars before rolling over.

All five drivers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation temporarily shut down all northbound lanes at Exit 24A for several hours to clear debris and remove the overturned truck.

Police later cited the tractor-trailer driver after discovering that the vehicle was overweight by roughly 800 pounds. The investigation into the full circumstances of the crash is ongoing.

We wish everyone involved in this crash a quick and complete recovery.
