Stonington, CT –Three-Car Wreck on I-95, Exits 91 and 92 Claims One Life
Stonington, CT (January 11, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred on I-95 today, January 11th, resulting in the untimely death of a 78-year-old woman from North Franklin, according to Connecticut State Police. The crash, located between exits 91 and 92 in Stonington, prompted a swift response from Troop E in Montville and EMS just before noon. Among the involved vehicles, a 21-year-old man from Rhode Island suffered suspected non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital. Due to the accident’s severity, the accident reconstruction team was deployed, leading to the closure of I-95 North for investigation. The State Department of Transportation confirmed the highway’s reopening at 6 p.m. Connecticut State Police underscored that the fatal collision is under thorough investigation.
