St. Johns Co., FL – Woman Killed in Accident on I-95/International Golf Pkwy
St. Johns County, FL (June 21, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian accident claimed the life of a 42-year-old Jacksonville woman on the night of Friday, June 20, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place shortly after 9:25 p.m., just north of International Golf Parkway. Authorities say the woman was walking in the left lane of I-95 when she was struck by a pickup truck. The driver, who remained on the scene, reported being unable to avoid the pedestrian due to low visibility at the time.
After the impact, the woman was thrown into the guardrail. First responders from the Florida Highway Patrol and local emergency services arrived quickly but pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and is cooperating with investigators. The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the events that led to the collision.
