St. Augustine, FL – Two Drivers Seriously Injured in Early Morning Semi Crash on I-95 near International Golf Pkwy

St. Augustine, FL (July 23, 2023) – A serious early morning semi crash on Interstate 95 near International Golf Parkway in St. Johns County left two drivers seriously injured, causing multiple lanes to be blocked for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

The accident occurred ON Sunday morning, July 23rd, at around 5 a.m. when a semi-truck collided with the back of a pick-up truck while both vehicles were headed north on I-95 near mile marker 324. The impact of the collision pushed the two vehicles off the road and onto the grass shoulder. Subsequently, the pick-up truck struck a tree and rotated.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. They were transported to the hospital in serious condition, but their injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
