Savannah, GA – Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision on I-95 near the GA-204 Ramp

Savannah, GA (November 26, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on I-95 near the GA-204 ramp early Tuesday, November 26, claiming the life of one individual. The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) confirmed that the collision involved a 2016 Toyota sedan and a 2024 GMC Sierra. Preliminary investigations revealed that the sedan attempted a left turn onto I-95 northbound but entered the path of the westbound GMC Sierra. The driver of the Toyota was critically injured and transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care but succumbed to their injuries shortly afterward. The driver of the GMC Sierra did not report any serious injuries. The vehicles sustained severe damage, leaving debris scattered on the road, which led to partial traffic disruptions. Authorities continue to investigate the factors leading to the crash.
