Savage, MD – Woman Killed in Early Morning Crash on I-95 N Near Welcome Ctr

Savage, MD (September 13, 2025) – A woman lost her life in a tragic crash on Thursday, September 11, on Interstate 95 North just south of the Welcome Center in Savage.

According to Maryland State Police, 34-year-old Ashley Murray of Virginia was driving a Land Rover LR2 when she struck the rear of a tractor-trailer parked on the highway shoulder. The crash happened around 3:30 a.m.

Troopers from the Waterloo Barrack responded quickly, but Murray did not survive. The Maryland State Police Crash Team has taken over the investigation to determine the factors that caused the collision.
