Ridley Park, PA – Motorcyclist Killed in Tragic Crash on I-95 S Near Rte. 420

Ridley Park, PA (April 18, 2025) – A tragic accident involving a motorcyclist claimed the life of a young man on April 18 in Delaware County. The crash occurred around 9 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, just past Route 420 in Ridley Park. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 26-year-old Matthew Rinck was riding a motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle while attempting to change lanes. The impact threw Rinck from his bike, causing him to suffer fatal injuries.

Emergency responders from Delaware County arrived at the scene and attempted to provide aid, but Rinck was pronounced dead shortly after due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement during the initial investigation. I-95 South remained partially closed for several hours as police conducted a thorough investigation and cleared the scene. No additional injuries were reported in connection with the incident. Authorities are still working to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.
