Richmond, VA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 S/Franklin St Exit Leaves Injuries

Richmond, VA (December 28, 2024) – On December 28 late evening, a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 South near the Franklin Street exit caused injuries. The Richmond Police Department and emergency medical services were on-site to assist those affected.

The accident, which occurred around 8 a.m., involved at least four vehicles. Authorities reported that multiple individuals were injured and were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. One victim was treated at the scene and released. Traffic on I-95 South was heavily impacted as crews worked to clear the debris and remove the damaged vehicles. The road was partially reopened after approximately two hours. Investigators are still working to determine the factors that contributed to the collision.
