Prince George’s County, MD – Fatal Four-Vehicle Collision on I-95 near Exit 29B Claims One Life
Prince George’s County, MD (August 31, 2023) – Tragedy struck on I-95 in Prince George’s County as a four-vehicle crash led to the loss of one life and left another person injured. The incident unfolded near exit 29B and Maryland Route 212 (Powder Mill Road) on Thursday, August 31st, causing the closure of multiple northbound lanes, as reported by the Maryland State Police (MSP).
According to the account provided by the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department, it is believed that a tow truck driver was aiding a fellow motorist when a third vehicle collided with the scene, striking the tow truck driver.
Tragically, the tow truck driver succumbed to their injuries at the accident site, as confirmed by MSP. Although the state agency indicated no additional injuries, officials from Prince George’s County revealed that another individual was transported to a hospital for medical attention.
