Portsmouth, NH – Fatal Crash on I-95/Exit 7 Claims One Life, Injures Two Others
Portsmouth, NH (January 14, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle accident on I-95 near Exit 7 left one man dead and two others injured on Monday, January 13. The crash occurred around 6:40 p.m. and involved three vehicles, according to the New Hampshire State Police. Authorities identified the deceased as Martin Osier, 62, of Bremen, Maine. Preliminary investigations indicate that Osier’s Toyota Camry sideswiped a cement barrier on the left shoulder while traveling southbound, partially deflating a tire. The vehicle continued for approximately two miles before coming to a stop in the travel lanes. Moments later, Osier’s vehicle was rear-ended by a 2008 Subaru Legacy driven by a 31-year-old woman from Dover. The impact pushed the Toyota into an adjacent lane, where it was struck by a 2021 Dodge Durango driven by a 56-year-old woman from Hanson, Massachusetts. O
sier was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The two women involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries, received treatment at a nearby medical facility, and were subsequently released. The crash remains under investigation, with police urging anyone with information to contact Trooper Brian Hanna.
Our deepest condolences go out to the deceased victim’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We also hope for a quick recovery for the injured parties.
