Port Wentworth, GA – Injury Chain-Reaction Crash on I-95

Port Wentworth, GA (December 21, 2025) – Several people were injured on Saturday, December 21, following a chain-reaction multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Port Wentworth, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The collision occurred around 9:41 p.m. near mile marker 110 in the northbound lanes.

Troopers reported that the driver of the first vehicle was following too closely and rear-ended a second vehicle while traveling in the left lane. The impact caused the second vehicle to overturn multiple times across the roadway. During the rollover, the vehicle struck a third car traveling northbound.

Multiple individuals sustained injuries and were evaluated by medical personnel. Some received on-site treatment, while others were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Authorities confirmed that none of the injuries were life-threatening.

Due to heavy debris scattered across the roadway, the northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for several hours and reopened around 11:40 p.m. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.

We hope for a quick recovery for the injured.
