Pawtucket, RI – Two Drivers Injured After Box Truck Collides With Car on I-95
Pawtucket, RI (July 8, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning, July 8, on Interstate 95 North near Exit 29 in Pawtucket resulted in injuries to both drivers. The Rhode Island State Police reported that around 6:19 a.m., a box truck struck a passenger car that was attempting to exit the highway. Officials said the box truck ended up perched on top of the car and leaning over into the southbound lanes, causing a dangerous obstruction in both directions of the freeway. Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were promptly assisted by first responders. Only one lane was open in each direction as authorities worked to safely remove the wreckage and clear the scene. The Rhode Island State Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
