Ormond Beach, FL – Woman Killed, Driver Injured in I-95 Crash

Ormond Beach, FL (June 30, 2025) – A tragic accident on northbound Interstate 95 near mile marker 72 claimed the life of a woman and injured another person Monday afternoon, June 30, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The crash happened just south of U.S. Highway 1 around 1:42 p.m. and involved a Honda CR-V and a box truck. FHP troopers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the collision. Investigators stated that the Honda had two occupants when the crash occurred. A female passenger in the Honda CR-V was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the box truck remained at the site of the accident and did not require medical attention. FHP has not released the names of any individuals involved, and the cause of the collision is still under investigation. The crash led to temporary lane closures and slowed traffic in the area for several hours as investigators collected evidence and crews cleared the wreckage.
