Miami, FL – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 Leaves One Dead and Multiple Injured

Miami, FL (June 15, 2023) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on I-95 resulted in the loss of one life and left nearly a dozen individuals injured. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes near NW 62nd Street shortly after 2 a.m. It involved eight vehicles.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a black Tesla sedan was traveling southbound when they lost control and collided with the concrete barrier wall. The disabled vehicle came to a halt, obstructing the roadway.

Subsequently, a black Dodge sedan collided with the stationary Tesla. The impact caused the driver of the Tesla to be ejected from the vehicle and land on the road.

In an effort to avoid running over the man, an approaching white Nissan decelerated but was struck by a Chevy SUV. The collision propelled the Nissan forward, resulting in it running over the individual.

Furthermore, a series of minor collisions occurred involving a Chevy SUV, a Nissan sedan, a white Jeep SUV, a tow truck, and a gray Jeep SUV.

Tragically, the driver of the Tesla succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while nine others sustained injuries. One individual in serious condition was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center, and four adults in stable condition were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. The remaining four injured individuals declined medical treatment.

The Florida Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the cause of this devastating accident.
