Miami-Dade Co., FL – Injury 18-Vehicle Pileup on I-95 at Ives Dairy Rd
Miami-Dade County, FL (August 29, 2025) – Late Thursday night, August 28, a catastrophic multi-vehicle crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Ives Dairy Road, leaving several people hospitalized. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed the massive collision involved 18 vehicles, including a tractor-trailer.
According to FHP Lt. Alex Camacho, the crash occurred around 11:25 p.m. when traffic slowed, but the tractor-trailer driver failed to stop in time, slamming into vehicles ahead and sparking a chain-reaction pileup. Several cars were left mangled across the roadway, while emergency crews worked quickly to reach the injured.
Multiple victims required transportation to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital for treatment. The number of those injured and the extent of their conditions have not yet been released. Responding crews worked to clear wreckage and investigate the cause of the accident. The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
