Liberty Co., GA – One Dead, One Airlifted After Three-Car Crash on I-95/MM 70
Liberty County, GA (October 1, 2025) – A deadly three-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound near mile marker 70 claimed one life and left another driver seriously injured early Wednesday morning, October 1.
The Georgia State Patrol reported that troopers had been alerted to a reckless white Nissan Altima moments before the crash through a BOLO alert. The Nissan driver lost control and spun into the left travel lane. A Good Samaritan driving a Dodge Ram reportedly pulled over to assist the Nissan driver. As both vehicles were stopped, a Toyota Tundra traveling northbound struck the Dodge Ram from behind, causing a violent secondary impact.
The driver of the Toyota Tundra sustained critical injuries and went into medical distress while being transported by ambulance, later succumbing en route to the hospital. The driver of the Nissan Altima was airlifted to a Savannah medical center for advanced treatment. The Dodge Ram driver escaped without physical injuries.
Authorities remained at the scene for several hours, conducting accident reconstruction and reviewing dashcam footage from nearby vehicles.
Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased victim, and we wish a full recovery to those injured.
