Jacksonville, FL – Pedestrian Struck by SUV on I-95/MM 360 in Critical Condition
Jacksonville, FL (January 6, 2025) – A pedestrian sustained critical injuries Sunday evening, January 5 after being struck by an SUV on I-95 North near mile marker 360 in Duval County. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that the collision occurred at around 7:47 p.m. A dark gray GMC SUV, driven by a 40-year-old Winter Springs man, struck the pedestrian, who was standing in the roadway for unknown reasons.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The SUV driver also suffered injuries and was taken to a medical facility for treatment. Traffic was disrupted as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. FHP troopers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including why the pedestrian was on the highway.
