Hanover Co, VA – Two Injured in Major Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-95/Richmond
Hanover County, VA (March 13, 2025) – A crash involving two tractor-trailers on I-95 northbound past Richmond caused major traffic disruptions and injured two drivers on March 13. According to the Virginia State Police, the accident occurred around mile marker 96, approximately two miles south of the Kings Dominion exit. A car-hauling tractor-trailer was stopped on the shoulder of the highway when another semi-truck veered off course and collided with it. The impact caused several vehicles from the hauler to be ejected onto the roadway, while the second truck overturned, blocking all three northbound lanes. Emergency crews responded swiftly, working to clear debris and assist the injured drivers. Both truck operators sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Authorities spent several hours managing the accident scene, removing the wreckage, and ensuring road safety before fully reopening the highway.
