Hanover Co., VA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 S/Sliding Hill Rd.
Hanover County, VA (June 28, 2025) – A Saturday morning crash, involving multiple vehicles along Interstate 95 South in Hanover County, backed up cars for nearly five miles near Sliding Hill Road (Exit 86B). The Virginia State Police reported that the collision occurred on June 28, shortly before 9:00 a.m., at mile marker 88, involving at least three vehicles. Emergency crews and state troopers arrived promptly to assess the situation.
At least two individuals sustained injuries and received immediate on-site medical care. One person was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, although their condition has not been publicly disclosed. VDOT issued traffic alerts shortly after the incident, urging motorists to take alternate routes as both southbound lanes remained blocked for over an hour. The Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation to determine fault and contributing factors.
