Guilford, CT – Crash on I-95 S Claims One Life, Another Injured
Guilford, CT (August 23, 2025) – A man was killed and another driver was injured in a serious crash on Interstate 95 South in Guilford on Friday evening, August 22. The Connecticut State Police reported that 32-year-old Michael P. Terrio of Killingworth was traveling southbound when he struck another vehicle from behind near Exit 59.
The force of the collision left both vehicles badly damaged and prompted an immediate emergency response. Terrio was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically did not survive his injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
The Connecticut State Police Major Accident Investigation Team has taken over the case to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Troop F at 860-399-2100.
