Greenwich, CT – Stamford Man Fatally Injured in I-95 Crash near Exit 5
Greenwich, CT (June 30, 2023) – A tragic incident occurred on Friday, June 30, in Greenwich, Connecticut, where a Stamford man lost his life in a crash on Interstate 95.
The accident occurred around 1:44 a.m. on I-95 North, specifically in the vicinity of Exit 5. According to the Connecticut State Police, Colin Kennedy, a 46-year-old resident of Stamford, was driving a Ford Mustang when he suddenly veered off from the right lane, colliding with a metal beam guardrail on the shoulder.
Subsequently, Kennedy’s vehicle swerved across three lanes, hitting the concrete median barrier and spinning out into the left lane. As a result, a 39-year-old Stamford man operating an Infiniti Q50 in the left lane collided head-on with Kennedy’s car, as reported by the state police.
Tragically, Kennedy sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to Stamford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver involved in the crash was also transported to the hospital but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
