Flagler Co, FL – Fatal Five-Vehicle Crash on I-95 Claims Life of 19-Year-Old

Flagler County, FL (February 14, 2025) – A five-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Flagler County claimed the life of a 19-year-old Jacksonville man on the evening of February 13. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that the incident occurred around 10:19 p.m. in the northbound lanes. According to troopers, the crash began when a 24-year-old Jacksonville man lost control of his vehicle, overcorrected, and struck the victim’s car from behind. The impact caused the victim’s vehicle to sideswipe another car before spinning into oncoming traffic, where it was struck head-on by a pickup truck. T

he victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup, a 60-year-old man from Hialeah, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Two other drivers involved in the crash, including a 39-year-old St. Augustine man and his 11-year-old passenger, escaped unharmed. A fifth vehicle was damaged by debris but its driver, a 57-year-old Sunny Isles Beach man, was not injured. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
