Brevard Co., FL – Wrong-Way Driver Causes Deadly 8-Car Crash on I-95/MM 190

Brevard County, FL (September 20, 2025) – A catastrophic wrong-way collision on Interstate 95 left three people dead and several others injured on Friday, September 19. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened around 3:50 a.m. near mile marker 190, close to N. Wickham Road.

Investigators say a 34-year-old woman driving a Toyota Corolla made an illegal U-turn on the freeway and began traveling south in the northbound lanes. She struck a 2024 Chevy Impala head-on, driven by 27-year-old Willis, before a Hyundai Tiburon crashed into both vehicles. The impact triggered a chain reaction involving eight vehicles in total.

Three people, including the wrong-way driver, were pronounced dead at the scene. Six others were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers confirmed that the crash was caused by the wrong-way driver and are continuing their investigation.
