Boca Raton, FL — Deadly Crash on I-95 Claims One Life near MM 50

Boca Raton, FL (November 8, 2024) — A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred early Friday, November 8, on northbound I-95 near mile marker 50 in Boca Raton, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old pedestrian. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), four vehicles were involved: a 2003 GMC Yukon, a 2016 Ford Transit, a 2024 Kia Niro EV, and a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. The victim, a West Palm Beach resident, had initially parked the Dodge Ram in the highway’s center lane, south of Congress Avenue. After leaving his vehicle, he was hit by a GMC Yukon, which tried to swerve around the Dodge but couldn’t avoid him. The GMC then hit a guardrail, and two other vehicles became involved while attempting to avoid the crash. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers were not injured. FHP is still investigating the cause of this tragic incident.
