Bangor, ME – Two Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Crashes on I-95 at Exit 186
Bangor, ME (November 10, 2024)— On the morning of November 9, two multi-vehicle crashes on Interstate 95 in Bangor left two people injured. Maine State Police reported that the first accident happened when a speeding vehicle suddenly crossed into the travel lane near Exit 186, triggering a chain-reaction collision with three other vehicles. The vehicle that caused the incident managed to leave without stopping or getting involved in the crash. Due to the blocked passing and travel lanes, a second three-car accident occurred nearby, worsening the situation. Two people were injured in this second crash and were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Maine State Police responded swiftly, working with local emergency teams to clear the wreckage and ensure everyone’s safety. After a thorough investigation, traffic was allowed to resume.
