Baltimore, MD – MDTA Police Officer and Driver Injured in I-95 Crash
Baltimore, MD (July 4, 2025) – An MDTA Police officer and another motorist were both injured early Thursday morning, July 3, in a crash along Interstate 95 near Dundalk Avenue in Baltimore. The crash occurred when a vehicle struck a parked MDTA Police cruiser that was positioned on the shoulder of the interstate. The officer was seated inside the patrol car at the time of the collision. According to the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, both the officer and the driver of the striking vehicle sustained injuries. They were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. MDTA investigators are currently working to determine what led to the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
