Upland Borough, PA – 1 Injured in Crash on I-95 Collision near MM 5.4

Upland Borough, PA (November 20, 2023) – Delaware County authorities are actively seeking the driver responsible for an incident that occurred on November 20th, on I-95, resulting in a driver sustaining injuries and a vehicle fire that occurred around 6 a.m. near mile marker 5.4.   The collision occurred when a Honda Pilot attempted a lane change, colliding with the side of a PepsiCo tractor-trailer, propelling it into the center barrier. The impact caused the truck to catch fire in the center lane, while the Honda fled the scene, as reported by Pennsylvania State Police. The driver who fled the scene ultimately turned himself into the police in Media and has been charged. Meanwhile, the truck’s driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
